“Everything You Thought You Knew About Black History…
Is a Lie They Taught You in School.”
From:
North of Garner’s Mill
Dear Friend,
Let’s be real for a second.
If you grew up in America and went through the same school system I did,
you were not taught the full story of African people or Black people in American history.
Not even close.
They gave you the “safe” version — the watered-down, whitewashed, textbook version
twisted into something unrecognizable — the one that starts with slavery and ends with a
few paragraphs about Martin Luther King Jr.
They gave you the one that makes people comfortable.
(That’s if you got anything at all.)
But they left out the parts that make you think.
The parts before you were kidnapped.
The parts that make you question.
The parts that make you proud.
And if you’ve ever had that nagging feeling — that there’s more to the story
— You’re absolutely right.
Because there is.
I’m Professor Kamau Kenyatta.
For almost 30 years, I’ve been teaching African and African-American Studies at the college level.
I’ve watched students walk into my classes with that same half-told history… and
walk out with their minds on fire.
They tell me:
“Why didn’t anyone ever teach us this before?”
“This changes how I see everything.”
“Now I finally understand where we came from — and where we should be going.”
So I decided to take the same mind-opening lessons I teach in college classrooms… and make them available to everyone.
Introducing:
The African-American Studies Course
They Never Wanted You to See.
This is not another dry history course filled with dates and names.
It’s a journey.
You’ll uncover the hidden truths, buried stories, and suppressed facts that shaped who we are —
and who we can still become.
In just a few lessons, you’ll start to see how power, culture, and resistance have woven through
every era — from ancient African civilizations to modern America.
Here’s a Taste of What You’ll Discover:
-
The real origins of race/racism — and how the concept was invented to justify exploitation.
-
The African empires and innovators whose achievements rivaled (and usually surpassed) Europe.
-
The hidden figures of leadership, artistry, and science who were written out of textbooks.
-
How Black resistance, culture, and spirituality have been the engine of survival and progress for centuries.
-
Why understanding this history changes the way you see everything — including yourself, our community, and your future.
Former Students Say…
“I love that this course was all about my people and our story, our contributions and accomplishments; Not our story as an afterthought or as a side dish… I love that it was all about us all the time.”
“Hello Professor Kenyatta, I am very thankful for being in your course…You have enlightened me, and I am a stronger person because of you. Please know that if you are teaching an advanced course any where I will do my best to be your student again. Thank you for opening my eyes.”
“What impacted my knowledge the most from the course was the fact that the lessons were not sugar-coated or watered down. I would take it ten times again if I had the chance.”
Who Is This For?
If you’ve ever:
-
Wondered why your history classes felt incomplete…
-
Wanted to reconnect with your roots and understand your legacy…
-
Wanted to educate others with truth instead of tired myths…
- Wanted to know your history and the history of your people…
-
Wanted to figure out a way to create unity…
Then this course is for you…and…
You don’t need a background in history (because it’s not just about history).
Just curiosity, an open mind, and a willingness to finally study, investigate, and hear the whole story.
What Makes This Course Different?
This isn’t just me lecturing from a textbook.
This is the only systematic approach to African American Studies
anywhere online or offline.
It is indeed one-of-a-kind.
This is some of what you’ll get:
✅ Engaging video lessons that bring the whole thing to life.
✅ Interactive discussions that challenge what you think you know.
✅ Downloadable resources to deepen your learning.
✅ Community access to others walking the same journey.
And most importantly, every lesson connects to the real world.
Because African American Studies only matters when it helps us
make sense of today, and when we can use it to create unity for liberation.
What Former Students Say…
“I came into your class not sure of what would happen. By the end, you’d taught us to be proud of who we are, to embrace our Blackness fully, and to speak boldly. That journey of finding confidence and pride in myself was something I never expected.”
“Your class was the most important one I’ve ever taken. Nothing else hit me that hard.”
“I didn’t expect it, but we walked away with real, detailed tactics for dealing with this crazy world. That meant a lot.”
A Word of Warning
Before I tell you how to join this course, hear this.
Once you see this history clearly, you can’t unsee it.
You’ll notice how systems were designed.
You’ll see patterns that others miss.
You’ll have a clearer vision of the future.
You’ll know how we can create unity once and for all.
And you’ll understand just how powerful knowledge really is.
That’s the point.
How Do I Join the Course?
Every semester, colleges charge $1,500–$2,500 for students to take my African American Studies course for just 16 weeks.
That’s nearly $900 a month or $156 every single week — and once the semester ends, so does their access. Alternatively, they can take more for an additional $2,500-$3,500.
And even then, students often get the version of our history that is “filtered” through the lens of the academy.
But here?
You’re getting the depth, the insight, and the cultural truth — without the gatekeeping, without the tuition bills, and without the 16-week countdown.
You’ll receive:
- Lifetime access to every lesson, module, and update, Not for 16 weeks. Forever.
-
My lectures- filmed, personalized, and taught directly by me. This goes beyond what my college students receive.
-
Documentaries, films, and curated cultural analyses that go far beyond what most institutions teach (or allow)
-
Guided readings, quizzes, and recommended book lists expand your understanding even further.
-
A community rooted in empowerment, conversation, and shared understanding to start creating unity.
-
Opportunities for direct access to my Monthly Q&A, AMA sessions, and personalized feedback available in higher tiers.
- Certificate of Completion when you finish the course.
And all of this costs less than what my college students pay for one week of class.
Colleges charge thousands for a version of this course.
You’re getting:
-
More content
-
More access
-
More support
-
More community
-
Lifetime availability
Let that sink in:
What institutions charge thousands for…
What students struggle to afford for a single semester…
You’re getting permanently — for less than $100.
This isn’t just a discount.
It’s not even a bargain.
This is reclaiming access to our story, on our terms, forever.
